Shaft Slicker by Cue Cube

The original shaft cleaner for wood cues is produced in the USA using soft, high quality, genuine leather on one side and a cleaning pad on the other.  The gentle, non-abrasive cleaning side removes the dirt and oils that accumulate on the cue from repeated use.  The specially treated soft natural leather side smoothes the shaft after cleaning for a perfect stroke.  Keep your cues in top playing condition.

Directions for use:

1. Hold Shaft Slicker in the palm of your hand with the soft nylon side up.

2. With the pad in this position, place the shaft against the nylon and make a fist tight enough to hold the cue shaft

3. Grip the cue with your free hand and slide the shaft slicker back and forth, turning the cue so that the entire stroke portion of the shaft comes into contact with the nylon

4. Check smoothness of the shaft by stroking it through your bridge fingers as if you were playing.

5. When the shaft is smooth, turn the pad over and repeat the process with the leather side.

6. You will have an ultra smooth cue shaft which will improve your stroke.

About Cue Cube

Like many tip tools and cue accessories, the Cue Cube was made by someone who wanted a tool for themselves. Others in their local poolroom wanted one and it turned into a business. In 1982 the "company" was purchased and at the suggestion of some pro players the curvature and grit roughness were modified, though the cube shape and metal base were retained.

The Cue Cube has become one of the most successful and widely recognized products in the billiard world. Cue Cube, LLC currently distributes its products to countries around the globe. The Shaft Slicker, a treated leather/nylon item for shaft maintenance, was put into production and marketed in the mid-80s and in 1993 the two items were packaged together for the first time as the "Pool Cue Maintenance Kit." Later developments adapted the Cue Cube for attachment on a key chain plus at least six different colors are now available for the cube bodies.

The company, started in Milwaukee, WI is under new ownership and in 2016 has moved to Plymouth, WI, only 50 miles from the original location and in the heart of the billiards manufacturing industry. The company is still going strong and will always be proud to stamp "MADE IN U.S.A." on every product.
